Heather | Tacoma Senior Portraits

There's this beautiful girl I know.

Talented. Adventurous. You name it, she's got it.
We traipsed around Tacoma and nearly covered every inch of downtown before our shoot was over and it was worth every second.

I am a firm believer in trying to take each of my clients to a new location & we hit several of those with Heather... including the super tiny Turntable Treasures...., the amazing Dorky's Arcade [cause who doesn't want a picture with Mortal Kombat?] & trying to find the nooks & crannies of Tacoma, even down to pulling on doors and asking in coffee shops where we could get roof access... By random chance - a kind security guard was feeling bored and joined us for an evening stroll overlooking our beautiful city.

So happy for Heather to graduate this year from Tacoma's School of the Arts!

Congrats Lady!

Erik | Senior Photography

A few months back I took some photos at a Sotheby's Open House and gave away some photoshoot opportunities as a raffle prize... The Christy family won and we scheduled a shoot for Erik, a brilliant graduating senior with both his HS diploma & his AA .... did I mention he's only 16?!

Congratulations Erik! You have so much to look forward to!

What a beautiful young lady! All day I sat in my office listening to the rains POUR down on my roof thinking - I don't know how we're going to make this afternoon shoot work!
But all it really takes is a willing participant! I love the rain and don't mind getting out there. Much of this shoot I was traipsing around the streets of Tacoma barefoot having stepped into a massive puddle and soaked my shoes through.
I felt much more free to move around once I'd just embraced the rain - [there's a deep lesson in there somewhere.]

Kiyoko sure was a trooper and just shrugged the rain away and stood out there like it was no big deal. Couldn't be happier for her!

Congrats Kiyoko!
I love this picture. I thought it was super fitting since she just moved here from New York in July - funny coincidence.

Kaitlyn | Senior Photography

We watched the weather all week - listened to the weather man tell us it was going to be pouring down rain - but we decided to go for it anyway. "We might get lucky"... I told Kaitlyn to bring her favorite rain boots and a cute umbrella [just in case].

And look at the weather we got!! Washington kills me. You really have NO idea what to expect until you get out there.

So glad the rains held off and we were able to capture the beauty of this graduating senior! Congrats Kaitlyn!

She was such a trooper - it was FREEZING on our photoshoot morning - but we were gonna make the pictures happen! Even if it meant huddling in a blanket between shots. ;)
[isn't she adorable??]
And what a fun personality! She came with the idea of wanting soccer photos done in her pink sparkly prom dress - who could resist! Made for such fun photo opportunity!
