The view from right here

Sometimes we forget how blessed we are. I can complain with the best of them (and I've already started today as the rain has settled back in for another long week)... It's even harder when we are surrounded by everything we could possibly ever need. We are truly rich people. I've created a list of things I'd like to do in my life (some of which I actually hope will come true!) but a list could just as easily be created for the things that already bless my life! I hope you feel the same about yours.

I may have gone to school for Marriage and Family Therapy - but this knowledge did not come from any sort of education... (more like 'A White Christmas')... counting your blessings significantly changes your outlook on things.

Often in life it's the little things: I'm grateful to pour a bowl of cereal and find the milk is NOT spoiled or that I actually remembered to purchase it at the store... I'm grateful my dog sleeps through the night without needing to go outside and sometimes let's me sleep in (past 9am! Although I shouldn't admit that)... I'm grateful I actually HAVE a camera (even if it has LESS megapixels than my husband's cell phone)...

But one of my top blessings? This right here:

What are you most blessed to have?

  1. I like your picture. I find life is the best thing I have and to share it with my wife of 56 years is the best part of this life for me.

  3. The best for me is the people in my life, and moments like you caught here.

  4. What a pretty picture!
I'm most blessed to have my husband and our "kids" (dogs) and a functioning body (although I'd upgrade if I could on that one.)

  6. Ha! just read your list of 50x50. I have a pair of wooden clogs and they are NOT comfortable! Might work well as planters... And cross out #23, it's much more fun to feel like a child! Grown-ups are so square! Love your list, what a good idea!

  8. Thankful for a lot in life... foremost I'm thankful for my salvation, my family, my friends, that I have a job when many who want to work cannot... it is an unending list... currently I am thankful too, for having a photograph published in a Christian novel and the opportunity to collaborate further with the author on future books...and lastly of course for an array of camera gear with which to amuse myself and hopefully please others.
