In a Fog

My mind has been a muddled mess these last few days. I've been watching a friend go through the process of losing a job... I'm certain there are many who can relate to this plight - but the fogginess is in feeling that when a company/organization represents themselves with a Christian vision and mission, you would want HOPE to believe they would treat their employees differently than any secular organization... Not in this case. In fact, I'm certain that my secular job would have given a smoother release, "a softer landing"... To me it just seems like an ugly situation. But I can't see through the fog.

I say all these things knowing that my friend is handling it way better than I and I'm the one that wants to go fighting and questioning and wondering "Why?"... But the Lord's ways are SO far above my own. How can I begin to comprehend what happens and the ways in which God works? All I know is that God is a God of making beauty out of some pretty ugly situations and I just pray that as the fog clears - my friend would find himself in a better, and more secure, situation than ever before.

  4. Sometimes we grouse at working, until we have no job and realize what a blessing God gave us through working...

  5. Isn't it funny how God created us all so different and how we can encourage and help one another even in the most difficult times? And incredible when the one going through the trials can remain strong even in the whirlwind!

Just wanted to let you know I combined my devo and photo blogs yesterday/today. (It took quite a bit of time and it was pretty spur of the moment)
