Take Two.

The beauty of just being a photographer who is trying to build a portfolio... for those paying for photos, if they (or I) am not satisfied, we can “take two” for no additional charge - plus I get more experience! It’s a win-win! :) In this particular case - I just wasn’t satisfied with the way I had exposed some of the photos so I offered a redo - I’m so glad they decided to accept!

The secret to marriage...

... I haven't found... but one thing I know has been good for us. Days away. We don't have any kids but we've got jobs and a home that is good to escape. Get away for the day and do the things you love. Be in the place that makes you feel most at home...

Seattle.

We recently headed north for the Seattle Bike Expo. And a day together in Seattle is never complete without a trip to TopPot & Zeeks pizza.

Thankful Thursday: Snow (in it's right place)

Such as places like Leavenworth Washington...

But not here. Not in March.

I love the snow... and in November/December - I'm begging for it. In March - I'm loathing it.

Thankful Thursday: Corny Jokes

A rope walks into a bar (just go with it)

He sits down and says "Hey Bartender! Can I get a drink!"

The bartender looks down at the rope and says "Hey you get outta here! We don't serve ropes in this bar!"

So the rope steps outside & tries to think of ways he can get the bartender to serve him.

He quietly sneaks back in and pulls up a stool beside a large man at the end of the bar.

Calling out in a deep voice he says "Bartender... How 'bout a drink?"

The bartender begins pouring and just as he's about to slide it to the large man at the end of the bar he sees the rope and says "Hey! I see you down there! Get outta my bar!" And he tosses the rope to the curb.

The rope stands himself up, brushes himself off and then suddenly - he gets an idea.

He starts pulling on some of his strings - wrapping himself up in a ball - making himself look disheveled.

He swings open the bar door. Walks right in and sits down at the bar right in front of the bartender.

"How 'bout a drink?" says the rope.

"Heeeeyyy.... don't I know you?" says the bartender. "You look familiar. Are you that rope I've been kicking out?"

With a sly smile on his face the rope calmly responds, "Nope. I'm afraid not (a frayed knot)."

Thankful Thursday: Playing "dress up"

Not gonna lie. I felt a bit like a middle school girl trying to put this post together... taking pictures of me (let alone of myself in the mirror) is not something I typically do.

But, I was feeling the need for accomplishment. #45 was just something simple enough that I thought I could tackle. And  So - here are my dresses... three days this week. Checkin' stuff off the list feels good no matter how trivial...

And of course... I threw in there the outfit I typically change into when I get home... immediately.

Thankful Thursday: Snow Days

I had a post all typed up... My router stinks and disconnected me from the internet causing me to lose what I had... that’s what I get for not saving, or starting in word or doing any of those “precautionary” things... Anyway it was mostly just - too bad, more snow pics (even more tomorrow... who knows, maybe the next day too). You’re crazy if you don’t appreciate the snow. Have to soak it up while it lasts (one or two days...), God bless snow days even as an adult and so on and so forth.
