So - I thought I would try something new today... I've recently been following along with several other photobloggers and their daily/weekly/monthly challenges. I stumbled upon
Pixel Perfect who does a "Before and After" Challenge on Thursdays and I thought this might be a good opportunity to learn how to further use photoshop...
So here's how it went... what do you think?
I also realized that my desktop calendar still says July... so here's my August rendition...
feel free to use it if you’d like
That was fun! There is still SO much to learn.... Now it's your turn. :)
beautiful! can I ask how you did it??
ReplyDeleteThanks Staci! To be honest I wish I had written down all of the steps that I took... I kind of find my own way to do things in photoshop - perhaps not the "right" way to go about getting a particular effect (is there such a thing?)... Basically what I did is I used the select tool to cut out the flower... Then I removed it from the photo - textured the background and pasted the flower back in on another layer... haha. I don't know if that makes any sense but there you have it! :)
ReplyDeleteooooh I love that - I'd love to have that on my desktop too!
ReplyDeletebeautiful edit - what a great idea to turn it into a calender

ReplyDeleteMakes sense Christina! I do the same, make up my own way - and I try to keep track too, but sometimes I just get going and forget until it's too late! :) it's really awesome - nice job! :)
