Summer's Ending

It's a perfectly cool day today... mid 60's with gray skies... A little warm for a typical Washington Day. But from the inside - this looks like the Washington I know for about 8-9 months out of the year.

Summer is quickly coming to a close as kids on facebook keep reminding me they DON'T want to start school in 4, 3, 2... days.

As you've read on here before. I LOVE the fall season and can't wait for it's arrival. I've been longing for the weather change and because I know it will make my work schedule a little fuller = faster/busier days = a less bored Christina. However, now that we are actually getting down to the wire and I'm remembering "Oooohhh... right. I'm in charge of a 75 student program and writing up contracts and securing partners & blah blah..." I'm kind of wishing there was a little more summer left so I could get some of the things done that I slacked off doing when the sun was shining.

Alas, life moves at the same pace it always does - sometimes it just feels faster than others. While the entering of September brings all things fantastic (including the Holiday Season) there are some things about this Summer that I will miss.

    mmm...LoVinG this shot...the light reflections remind me of christmas lights...which makes me EXCITED for fall and winter. :)

    the bokeh in this shot is awesome. i can almost feel the warmth from the sunshine. i'm always sad to see summer go...fall is always so crazy!! But, once we get into the season, there is so much i do love about it. Enjoy!
