Playing Catchup/Friday Photo Shoot

Better late than never I guess? I meant to post this session on Friday - but a conference trip to the other side of the mountains put a damper in my blogging schedule.

A few weeks ago I posted about how I needed some PEOPLE to photograph. Normally this blog is all about the inanimate. I have learned a lot about depth of field, bokeh... But I needed some family portrait practice. Since that post I got my first “volunteer” which led into a couple other photo shoot opportunities... It’s been a fun photo filled couple of weeks with more to come.

Anyway - this little guy was a bit stoic at first kind of confused as to who this stranger was, coming into his world and shoving this big black object his direction... But even his pensive gaze was adorable. How can you resist those baby blues?

But it didn’t take long. This little guy took a few looks at his handsome face in the view finder and then he was all about the little photo session...

He was playing Peek-a-boo with me...

He was blowing kisses...

And he was just all around adorable.
(loved these photos as mommy is a beautiful piano player)

  3. These are wonderful treasures! Won't it be neat if he grows up to be a pianist and YOU were the first one to shoot him playing! So cool! - I wanted to let you know that you are being an influence and you are being used through the Holy Spirit to encourage and inspire others! So thank you for putting yourself out there and being real. It IS making a difference!
