Raindrops keep fallin' on my head...

Lucky you. Today this blog is being used as a platform to rant...

My husband and I are a "one-car" family of two full time working people. This makes our schedules a bit tricky of who needs to be where and when. So - in an effort to solve this problem, sometimes I ride the bus.

I left my house to get to the bus stop with 5 minutes to spare. The bus showed up 15 minutes later (10 minutes late) arriving at the transit center 15 minutes late and missing the bus I needed to transfer to. Instead I hopped on another bus that brought me somewhat close to work and I walked the rest of the way in the rain.

I left work and arrived at the bus stop with 2 minutes to spare. The bus arrived 17 minutes later (15 minutes late). AGAIN... missing my transfer once at the transit center. I had no choice this time. I had to wait. The next bus would be there in 30 minutes.

Waiting...

Waiting.......

My bus arrived 50 minutes later (20 minutes late).

I was so wet and cold that I am not proudest of the pictures for today's post but it's what I saw when I looked around for what would describe how I was feeling.

Normally I am completely anti-umbrella... However today I was grateful for the (sort-of) functional bumbershoot.

Did I mention that it costs more than a gallon of gas to get to and from work on the bus in one day?

  2. But you have to pay insurance for a second car, plus amortize the cost over the life of the vehicle...you're still saving. Cheer up.
