Why I love Fall

Today I'm grateful for the Autumn Weather! This is what I've been waiting for... The rain was coming down as we stepped out of church on Sunday morning - but we hopped in the car and headed for the pumpkin patch. It cleared up long enough for us to wander through and find our pumpkins of choice as well as some fresh apple cider, donuts, spicy pickled green beans and asparagus, decorative pumpkins and gourds, and some fresh cut flowers for the table (which you saw on the blog yesterday).
This is my favorite Autumn Adventure. We capped it off with a stop at a local pizza parlor for some lunch and football. What could be better?

side note... don't you hate posting a page in the morning and it taking several hours for you to realize you had a major typo? Pet peeve of mine - I'm a fan of spelling my words correctly and using the appropriate tense... Alas, I can always go back and fix it. :)

American Football in Mexico

What a beautiful spot. This is why people get married: Vacation. Love. And I LOVED the vacation. There’s nothing like sticking your toes in the sand.

Or watching the waves crash from the balcony of your hotel room.
Or watching football. You could find us in the Hotel sports-bar often that week. There are people who schedule their weddings during the off-season so as to not miss a game... There are husbands who sneak the view of the game while the wife wants to do something else - fancy restaurants and the like. Then there are couples like us - who schedule their weddings during the season so that we can always watch a game together while celebrating the best day of our lives.
I'm loving remembering all of this. What a fun time. I have the worst memory known to man... So if I didn't have pictures this whole part of my life would just be a blur.

Football

My husband is the luckiest man alive. He found a wife who loves football. I can't wait for the season to start and am glad the "lock-out" is all cleared up. Sometimes during the season we'll have friends of ours - or folks in the church invite us over for a game.

We love to hang out - however, sometimes I get the feeling that the boys have been invited to watch the game and the girls.... well... we're supposed to knit. or cook. or chat. .... Nope. I want to watch the game.

So - my husband's the luckiest guy because I don't care if the games on all day Sunday... again on Monday night... Sometimes Thursdays... and this year - even a little football on Saturday. Four days a week isn't so bad, right?

A friend of ours received tickets to tour Qwest (Now Century Link) Field in Seattle (our neighbor to the North) and he graciously invited us to join. So we tripped up there on Sunday and had a great time visiting the Seahawks home stadium...

However, my husband had to be sure that everyone knew where his true allegiance lies. At one point as the tour guide was poking fun at him for the Packers hat he slyly responded, "Do we get to see where the Seahawks keep their Superbowl trophies?" Oh snap.
Entering my hubby's "That's right... The Pack is heading for another ring" smile onto Perceptive Perspective
